Is there a musical artist who had an untimely death, that whenever you hear their work, saddens you?

For me, it is this beautiful soul.

For me, because of my age, it’s the big three:
Janis
Jimi
Jim (Morrison)

@StrawberryMilkshake Really true. And such a wonderful time for music in general. My compliments to your taste in music.

If I could see just one artist in my entire lifetime, in a small setting, it would’ve been Jimi.

@Adogslife They were part of a cultural movement that we have not seen since.

@chrisCA Woodstock is a great example. Everyone should take a look at the list of artists that played in 69’ in Bethel, NY. The quality and unity is mind numbing. There will never be another assembly like it.
@Adogslife How about Greg Lake & Keith Emerson. Don't forget Jon Lord.
@DropTopDig Well, Emerson WAS 71...and with nerve damage affecting him, depression, and alcoholism, how much longer was he likely to be around?
@SomeMichGuy Ik what you mean, but its still a shame & a big loss for me.
