NOVEMBER RAIN

I borrowed my friends Gibson Les Paul for this solo. What difference in sound and tone. Their humbucking pickups provide that high output needed for this song.

So strange when you consider that Slash was playing a Charvel at the beginning, and I think it was Mike Clink who suggested the Paul. Great job!

@uncalled4 I couldn't believe the difference in the tone and sound compared to my Epiphone Les Paul Standard. It's night and day, and the Gibson is so much heavier.
Thanks man, appreciated.

@Synyster I've never taken the Pepsi Challenge with a late-model Epi vs. a Gibson because I don't have the chops. In fact, I still have my dad's Carlo Robelli Paul copy, and the PAF copies are surprisingly hot, but not as good as real ones.

Thankfully, I'm a drummist and can admire the playing of others.

@uncalled4 Neither have I, but know that I've had my friends Gibson in my hand it's going to be tough handing it back to him. I think it's time to invest in a Gibson but I still like my Ibanez for various songs.

That Carlo Robelli Paul copy is got to be worth something, it's definitely nice to get those awesome hand me downs in the family.
That's right, you're a drummer. I used to be, but my son plays them now.

@Synyster Lots of people I play with started out on drums. And a lot of known players, too: Steve Perry, Steven Tyler, Peter Gabriel, Tommy Emmanuel, Mark King of Level 42. Even frickin' Rick Astley. lol.

@uncalled4 Yeah, I've hear of that in the past. Oh, and don't forget Dave Grohl.

@Synyster I think he actually began on guitar, but I could be wrong.
