Belinda Carlisle: Leave A Light On

Memories of falling in love for the first time, accompanied by this woman's singing. Aw.

I don't think anyone does anthemic gang vocals better than Belinda Carlisle [and any relevant collaborators]. Absolutely stirring.

Live TOPT 1989 [probably not really live but left it here anyway]:

@Jenny1234 She sings with conviction, sings her heart out. There's a sweetness to her.

@SW-User are you old enough to remember her in the Gogos?

@Jenny1234 I only heard of her around 1991 when my brother used to play the Runaway Horses album. I know Vacation but that's the only song by them I know. Any recommendations song or album wise? I will be seeking everything of hers out.

@SW-User our Lips Are Sealed, we’ve Got the Beat, Head Over Heals, Turn to You. Those are my favourites (including Vacation)

Her album Belinda was really good

I think she has a new album out called Voilà

@SW-User she also has a book out. It’s quite good. It’s her life story. If you get the audio book, she is the narrator/reader

@Jenny1234 Thank you. Will give these a go while dinner cooks tomorrow to help kill the time. Really helps take the monotony out of cooking. ✌️

@SW-User I know!

@Jenny1234 Love audiobooks. Will keep a look out for it. I know she was into the drug thing there for a bit, but it was the 80s. Everybody was! Plus being on the road is a hard life...people do what they need to do to stay awake and function. It just ends up inevitably going off the rails at some point or other.
