I was really in love for the first time and the person didn't return my feelings at all, that was already bad... but even worse was that he made fun of my feelings in front of others ... I don't know what hurt more, to hear his words or the laughter of the others ... both hurt as if thousands of needles were piercing my heart.

In fact, I have never forgotten it, even though I very rarely think about it anymore. And fortunately, this experience remained an exception for a long time. I have learned from it, but despite all caution you cant prevent that you are hurt again by people whom you honestly loved and from whom you thought for a long time they love you just as honestly.
