Some obscure Norwegian music

I strayed off to my old "Norsk" music collection that I as a 15 year old kid dragged from NRK Urørt back in 2007 or 2008 when it was offering music to download for free. I'm surprised some songs made it to Youtube over years. This one is quite solid I think.

I like obscure music. I'm intrigued by the concept of mysterious songs whose singers/composers are totally unknown — to date. Like these two:

@SW-User These are really good.

There's an interesting Japanese movie on this theme. It's called Fish Story. 😀 The movie revolves around an old recording where the author is known but there's this feeling of mystery shrouding the recording throughout entire movie.

Your angst about relationships sucked me in to your space and so, as I trolled down thru your threads like a mouse seeking cheese, I came upon this one you wrote from August. It paused me in reflection as, it reminded me of an old Norwegian tradition in song for calling in cows from the field that I first stumbled upon a few years ago. It's called "Kulning." Do you know it? The woman sings it beautifully, and she shares a few additional vids and of course, the side bar shares other vids by association.
Hope you work out that relationship angst....perhaps you need a male friend to master some form of this for calling you in. Just a thought.😉

@Freeranger I've been subscribed to her channel for a while. Her videos are breathtaking, especially drone shots of winter and foggy scenes. I knew about this calling from a Norwegian song but I didn't know the origin of it.

Isn't it fascinating contrast what her life as she presents it looks like and how skilled she is in the technology which she uses to depict it? Clean sharp high quality imagery, clean sharp sound...

@CrazyMusicLover You will get no argument from me and, you nailed "the thought" on how clean and crisp her work is. She certainly knows how to tap in to a market, how ever large or small who identify separating a world unglued from one in which she finds her balm drawn from things made from a poultice found in the natural world and old traditions.
Intriguing stuff
