I like several songs that he wrote and or released. I never knew until today though, that he wrote Harper Valley P.T.A.

@Piper It was a big hit for Jeannie C. Riley, but he did indeed write the song.

He was a prolific songwriter and won the Bluegrass Song Writer of the Year award multiple times.

@Rutterman I know that it was, which is I why I mentioned it. I just didn't know he wrote it...until today when I heard of his death.
