Why Ophelia?

I've been wondering to myself why the Lumineers chose to name their song Ophelia. From what I've heard, the song is about fame and they refer to fame as "Ophelia".

I guess it mentions a flood and Ophelia drowned?? I don't know.

Any Hamlet fans have ideas?

I'd need to know more about the song, but Ophelia was Hamlet's love, he effectively sacrificed her love (thus driving her insane and she threw herself into water and died) in pursuit of his revenge plans.

Lyrics:
Ah, ah, when I was younger, ah, ah, should have known better
And I can't feel no remorse, and you don't feel nothing back

Ah, Ah, got a new girlfriend, he feels like he's on top
And I don't feel no remorse, and you can't see past my blinders

Oh, Ophelia, you've been on my mind girl since the flood
Oh, Ophelia, heaven help a fool who falls in love

Ah, Ah, got a little paycheck, you got big plans and you gotta move
And I don't feel nothing at all
And you can't feel nothing small

Honey I love you, that's all she wrote

Oh, Ophelia, you've been on my mind girl like a drug
Oh, Ophelia, heaven help a fool who falls in love

Oh, Ophelia, you've been on my mind girl since the flood
Oh, Ophelia, heaven help a fool who falls in love

Oh, Ophelia, you've been on my mind girl like a drug
Oh, Ophelia, heaven help a fool who falls in love

@AwakeAndDreaming: I think it's just just a connection to a romance that's tragic. but I could be mistaken.

@malcontent: it's about losing yourself to fame not really romance
