When I heard these lyrics I immediately thought of my dad…

…and wanted to have those lines be my next tattoo. I decided against it though. I have his handwriting tattooed on my wrist and his artwork on my forearm so even though I appreciate the lyrics, I merely pause for my heart to touch his every time I hear them. Having them tattooed on my skin won’t make me miss him any less or even honor him like I desperately wanted to do after his passing. I was able to let the idea go as I finally came to terms with the loss of him and now see them for what they truly are for me…a few strings of beautiful words that give me the opportunity to revisit the image of his bright eyes that always reflected the smile I’ll never forget.
