Were you Grunge or Alt-Pop Rock?

With the risk of being scolded for something or another, Nirvana or INXS,, I guess is the best way to put a sound for clarity to my question.

I was only little in the early 90s but I've never liked grunge or alt rock, it's worse than the old-school rock. I love 90s dance music and R&B.
