Darryl Stuermer from Genesis. Anyone who can copy the original guitar player Steve Hackett (my favorite) and makes it in the band has my respect.

@caesar7 Being inventive is, of course, better than being a copycat. I admire Steve, I love him to bits, and his solo in "Supper's Ready" (at about 7:20) is my all-time favorite rock guitar solo (with Phil totally freaking out on drums).
(My favorite fusion guitar solo is Mike Stern's solo in Miles Davis' "Fat Time" on his "Man With The Horn" album from 1981. That's what I would call "Bebop Rock".)

@helenS Nice!! I saw Steve also with his Genesis revisited tour. I was blown away. I have seen many concerts but this one stood out. He plays acoustic guitar so effortlessly with his fingers and his electric work is unique. The best of the rest in my book.

@caesar7 In late 2019 I had purchased tickets for a Steve Hackett concert in Berlin which was supposed to be given in early summer 2020. Everything was neatly planned, my Berlin friends more than welcomed me.
And then came COVID... and the concert was canceled. 😕
