Is “Latin” music popular in Spain and Portugal?

I know that “Latin” music is created in Latin America (Mexico, parts of the Caribbean, and Central and South America), most of which speaks Spanish, except for Brazil, which speaks Portuguese. Anyway, I was thinking about how as an American, music from Canada and the UK is relatively popular because it’s all in the same language, as is American music in those countries. Is the same true in Spain and Portugal? Is music made in Mexico and Cuba popular in Spain and vice versa? Is Portuguese music popular in Brazil and vice versa?

Also, bonus question: What about other forms of entertainment, like TV, books, and movies?
