I wish. My niece does, which is awesome. She plays both acoustic guitar and electric bass with a rock group.

@bijouxbroussard Musical family?
@uncalled4 Yes. She sings, too. Pop’s talent apparently skipped a generation. 😅

@bijouxbroussard I did not get the singing gene. I can carry a tune(and have a considerable range) but my voice lacks that magic quality that one associates with a lead singer. What helped me the most is piano, training my ear to discern intervals like 3rds and 5ths.
@uncalled4 I also can carry a tune, and was discovered to have absolute pitch when I was eight. So in choirs and glee clubs I was the “pitch pipe”. And my voice was okay for harmonies and back up, but it was never “solo” quality. My father was one of the soloists for our church choir; his voice was very smooth and would fill the entire church.
My niece’s voice has that quality, too.

@bijouxbroussard Ah, one of "those" people. :) I don't have that, but I've developed decent relative pitch. Last thing I called was the Parks and Rec theme being in C. Sometimes, I can restring a guitar and get close without using a tuner or piano. Ironically, the first CD I ever appeared on (in 1992) featured me singing, go figure.
