@quitwhendone This is soooo Sixties! Oh and that psychedelic background! 😁
Very strong voice.
@helenS Yed. She was like the Queen of the Psychedelic era. She dropped a lot of acid and partied in San Francisco. She is practically synonymous with the 1960s.

@quitwhendone Pre-history to me! 😄
@helenS Me too but the psychedelic era lasted into the 70s and even the 80s a little. And then there have been a lot of movies about the 1960s and they always play that song, White Rabbit. In fact, it's used in TV commercials here. I heard it for the first time in the 80s.

@quitwhendone I don't know much about rock'n'roll. Apart from some UK 70's prog I know almost nothing.

@helenS Grace Slick from Jefferson Airplane. Later Jefferson Starship. San Francisco rock group. 60’s and 70’s.

@quitwhendone On the other hand, I was watching this when it aired on TV. The Smothers Bros. had some great artists before they were booted off the air including George Harrison and The Doors among many.

@jackson55 The heyday of rock, apparently.
jackson55 · M
@helenS Yep, the San Francisco rock era. Grace Slick and Janis Joplin were the best of buddies.
helenS · 36-40, F
@jackson55 The time when many young people turned their back on jazz, and started listening to rock music.

@helenS Safe to assume you are a jazz and classical fan?
