I doubt they are any more or less talented than good singers from anywhere.
Do they have a higher regard in Germany for striving to do anything as well as possible, though? There have always been a few people who seem to have a natural for voice signing but otherwise learning to sing properly requires a lot of training and practice. (And an ear for pitch, which I do not have!)
I do not speak the language but have noticed German seems to work very well for male voices in high-quality, highly-technical singing (opera and lieder). So perhaps the language has something to do with it.
