Yes....and this reminds me of a story about Ginger Baker in his youth.
He had lined up a bunch of jars, cans and pots in the kitchen, and was tapping out rhythms on them.
A family friend asked his mother “Madam, did you realize that your son is a genius?”.
She replied “I wish he was more of a genius about cleaning his room.”.
She might not have been impressed, but most who had the pleasure of hearing him play (as I did at a Cream concert) can appreciate the genius that was Ginger Baker (RIP).

@DragonFruit Reminds me of a story about John Lennon. He was raised by his aunt and when he made it big, he bought her a very nice country home. He had a tile setted spell out a few words of wisdom she had repeated often in his early teen. Above the fireplace were written her words to him;
