Do you remember the song "Is She Really Going Out With Him" by Joe Jackson?

For 40 years I thought the opening lyric was "Pretty women out walking with guerrillas down my street", but today (Joe Jackson's 65th birthday) I discovered from the Internet that he actually sings "Pretty women out walking with [b]gorillas[/b] down my street". Why would a pretty woman want to walk down the street with a giant ape? Was Joe Jackson on some kind of hallucinatory drugs when he wrote the song?

"gorillas" is probably a reference to generic, muscle-bound idiots that are easily used and discarded by women.

I thought the lyric to Bad Moon Rising was “there’s a bathroom on the right,”’which puzzled me.

I watched my 12 year old daughter and her best friend passionately singing and dancing to Garth Brooks’ “I’m Shameless” and they both sang “I’m SHAVING!” @NosmoKing

@Anonymartyr I quibble. One could use a gorilla (if one wished to) but discarding a gorilla is not as easy as you might think.
