@hunkalove It was an old song (it appeared in about 1961) when Jerry Jacks got hold of it. The original by Jacques Brel is rather better even if it isn't one of my favourites.

@supersnipe That's pretty interesting. There's a couple differences with the harmony, but it's pretty close, and while the lyrics are different, the theme is the same.
