What was your first musical instrument?

Is it the same one you still play?

Mine was the harmonica and drum sticks my dad gave me when I was a kid. I had no 'drums,' just the sticks he gave me from when he played drums for a short while. I didn't really have an interest in the harmonica.

Later on, I had an interest in guitar, and bass guitar.

The family piano came first then the guitar. I have 3 guitars and a organ. I've played all my life.

@Stereoguy My favorite of the three would probbly be my Martin D18. I have a old Strat that I like too.

@jackson55 My step-grandparents had an organ but I wasn't allowed to touch it unless Grandma was. I think this mostly had to do with my step-mom's idea, not theirs.

I am glad to hear that you've played so much!

The Strat was made in 69. It's been played a lot. I have a big tube type Marshal. But later we used Crown amps and EV speakers.

@Stereoguy I've had two electric guitars that I had to sell for reasons that I didn't like, including the bass that I wasn't all the interested in. But, I've wanted to play guitar for quite a long time now. I still have my son's first acoustic guitar (luckily).

[@ I have two grandaughters and both have made plenty of noise on my organ. Let em play.

@jackson55 🤗

@Stereoguy Of course I like the way the Marshal sounds but it just didn't make enough power for concerts. Crown amps were popular then as were EV and JBL speakers.

[@ I've been out of the music business for alog time now. If I play my Strat I just plug it into the stereo.
