That's so difficult there is so much great stuff.
However - one of my favourite bands is Marillion. I first heard of them when at college. I was on the entertainment committee and suggested booking them - we did - they were brilliant! It was just the time they were breaking they released Market Square Heroes in 1982. Then the first album ..... Roll on a few years and the lead singer Fish left in a real huff - the band were under a lot of pressure with a major label deal and a manager pushing them. He walked away. They signed up a new singer. I wasn't sure it would work as to me, like many, Fish had been Marillion. Steve Hogarth (or H as he's known in the band) joined and they recorded Season's End in 1989. This song was on it and the whole album blew me away I became an even bigger fan which i remain to this day.
