Great song, great message - even if in an odd forum (but you have to reach them where they are), and great band!
The new movie in Freddy Murphy - who lived by the song's premise - has gotten good reviews, though not great.
And, I like the fact that it was a song from my younger days - in college, law school, and finally mover/truck driver.
And, I like your sense of humor - probably not all that different than mine.
In my early days as a mover, I told one of the guys working with me what I thought was a funny joke: "Which is easier to unload - a truck load of bowling balls or a truck load of dead babies?". The answer is "dead babies because you can use a pitchfork."
The guy told me that I wouldn't think that was funny if I had children if my own. He wouldn't speak to me - unless required to by our working together - for about a month. We did finally make up.
However, I still think it was funny. I was not - nor was who ever wrote the joke - actually suggesting that dead babies be unloaded with a pitchfork.
So, just enjoy your life and your unique sense of humor!
As one shirt I had printed up in college - and still have and wear occasionally- says: "If they can't take a joke; Fuck 'Em!"
