What is the difference between pianos and electric organs?

My mom is moving to a new city and she has an organ that she wants to donate. All of the places that I have called tha accept pianos do not accept organs. What is the difference?

A piano has a wooden case and strings. It produces one distinctive sound. It’s mostly used in classical music. An electric organ produces many sounds electrically. It can imitate the sounds of different musical instruments including piano. They use it in modern music like pop and other genres.

@english aww, lol you are sweetie. Thank you. ☺
It’s a different instrument. Not all pianists can play the organ. I’m sorry you can’t find a home for it. I would have thought a church could’ve surely used it. 🤔
