Have you ever listened to a song and it hit you all at once and you just can't help shedding tears ?

I am widowed and a song came on a classic R&B station and it took me back 35 years in a split second, and made me see my wife in all her beauty..

Every time I hear You're The Reason I'm Living, by Bobby Darin. I dedicated that song to my youngest daughter, the day she was born. No tears, but always a warm rush of emotion when I hear it.

@ChatterinSeuss She happened to be born when my dad was dying. She was my comfort.

@Serenitree Sorry for your loss

@ChatterinSeuss Me too, thanks. But it was 44 years ago, and she is still my comforter.

When did you lose your wife?

My feeling is that, though the loss hurts, weren't we lucky to have had someone who's loss hurts?

@Serenitree back in 2006

@ChatterinSeuss I'm so sorry for your loss, but, again I say, you were lucky to have had someone worth missing. If she'd been horrible, you wouldn't feel the loss as you do. Congratulations on the good times.

@ChatterinSeuss I'm sorry.
