I love weezer. In fact, I just saw them last night! (With the Pixies) Phenomenal show. 10/10 would see them again. So I’m on a weezer kick, being nostalgic and I’m just thinking about weezer’s album Maladroit. Why does it seem like nobody talks about that album? Is it underrated or did I just miss it? That album had loads of super catchy and good tracks in my opinion. (One of which met commercial success with a music video staring the muppets) but I dunno. I never really see or hear anyone mention that album (unless it’s a video on YouTube but duh, you’re on a video for it.) and it bums me out cause I’d like to hear other people’s opinions on it. Burndt Jamb is one of my favorite tracks from that album but no one EVER talks about it...I just feel like it’s SO good! I feel like maybe that ones a forgetten gem. I was super surprised and caught off guard at the show yesterday because they actually played it!!! I was soooo happy cause I even tweeted Rivers Cuomo about 3 times and begged him to play it. I think it was just a coincidence though but a damn good one! They also played Keep Fishin from Maladroit as well. So they played two tracks from Maladroit and I swear from everyone around me, all I heard was “I’m not familiar with this song.” “Is this a new one?” “What song is this?” Keep Fishin And Burndt Jamb from Maladroit!!! So any Weezer fans out there? Is Maladroit an underrated album or is it just me???
Wheezer has dropped in popularity but I still love their music. My favorite band is The used who are also not as famous as before but I'm still going to their shows as well!! Currently a lot of the earlier 2000s bands are "underrated" cuz of the change of interest to digital and rap music.
@Munchie weezer is literally a part of who I am no joke lol they’ve practically been with me for my whole life and I finally FINALLY got to see them yesterday. I wanted to cry lol. I’m not familiar with the used but I’m a fan of 2000s bands. There was sooo much good stuff coming out then too.
@Sb356 very much. I as well grew up (well still growing up) listening to these earlier bands. My Friends mom and some teachers have described my taste as an old school soul trapped in a body from the current generation. 2000s rock will always be the best!!
