@Elandra77 excellent taste
@Ambroseguy80 Thanks.They are only ones that had any staying power. Their original guitarist, Terry Kath, who died at 31, in 1978 was the best. Many see it as the end of a sound for Chicago--Kath was admired by Hendrix--quite a feat!

@Elandra77 I’m well aware of the Terry Kath tragedy. And yes - Hendrix did admire him
@Ambroseguy80 I believe it was a gunshot incident. When I started to learn guitar, in 1971, I wanted to be like Kath or Hendrix. Not Richards, Townsend, Clapton, or Alvin Lee. But Kath and Hendrix.
They were compared for a number of year to Three Dog Night--who was also orchestrational and had 7 members. (Chicago had more) And they as well had a Jazz/funk/rock beat--as Chicago could have. I never got the Blood , Sweat and tears comparison- maybe for an LP or two but that was it.
