Anyone love ELO Discovery album?

I've just raked it out and put it on. It's got to be loved by some on here.

Cassette tapes i have a lot that i have made over the years. I still have them . i love all the songs too. Elo has been one of my favorite bands. Especially in the 70"s. I lot of people probably don't know what a cassette tape is. But yiu and i are in the same range in age. I guess depending how old you are.

@Shawnkautzman1 we used to hold the cassette player up to the radio and record awful sound crackled versions of the latest songs and then play them over and over. Then when the cassette jammed carefully pull it out and wind it back with a biro

@Rhonda yes my brother did that on a cassette tape the year end countdown of 1970 he only recorded the top 20 still have the tape. Sound old just like you said. I was only 1 years old. He got the tape recorder for d Christmas that year but i was too young to remember. I heard the story from my brother. I hacmve always been a music collector since i was 6. Used to go to fred Meyers to buy 45"s for a dollar and a quarter. I always asked my dad every week he always gave me the money to buy at this time my aunt tina bought me a record player. When we were in north dakota visiting my dads sisters. I bought record at Woolworths there.

@Shawnkautzman1 we had no tv as we were poor, but recorded all sorts on our cassette recorder and I think in some ways we enjoyed our music more as we sat there ages just waiting for "the song"

@Shawnkautzman1 my brother a microphone to record the countdown. And from.1971 to 1978. My other brother recorded the year end countdown on 8-track casey casum.

@Rhonda i remember that. We had a 8-track player that had a radio so put the 8-track in and hit record.

@Shawnkautzman1 Cassettes? Just one of the many formats I own. Still have a deck that works.

@uncalled4 me too my boom box dual cassette deck still works after all these years. And sounds good. I took care of it.
