Impending Doom, The Famine, Underoath, Extol, Sleeping Giant, Zao, etc.
I do. Just more on the heavy metal side of it. Though I respect those that are more into the lighter stuff as well, like Mercy Me, Michael W. Smith. More Contemporary Christian music

@MissMollyCharlotte0702 Nice, me and my Dad went to a Mercy Me and Michael W. Smith concert when I was younger. And me and him have also seen Mercy Me at Creation Festival (Creation Fest) before when we went to that years back

Uh....not like that. I don’t really dance to Christian music really. @TickleTortureYouUntilTears

Sure! I'm a bit fan of Switchfoot's earlier stuff, and I love Jars of Clay and DC Talk. :)
Beautiful stuff. I have been listening to Hillsong all day today. It’s just such beautiful peaceful music. @thepreposterouspanda

I have always liked this one. The church I went to for a time, 21 years ago, used to sing this a lot. Hearing it now made me tear up. Even though I am an atheist, the need is ever present. Also, it reminded me of some pains from 21 years ago that have never fully healed. It is complicated.

Awwwww.......yes I know this one!! Beautiful. My dad’s favourite song is Come....Now Is The Time To Worship....I get tears in my eyes whenever I hear it. @JoyfulSilence
I have been listening to the one I posted just now....all day. I have found such peace today from it. I’m not normally into Hillsong, but this song just moves me. @JoyfulSilence

@MissMollyCharlotte0702 I am glad you are moved.
I am not sure I want to surrender. That was always a big problem when I had considered becoming a Christian. How much of myself would I have to give up? I know they always say come as you are and all sins have already been forgiven, but they also say follow him. I am at odds with some things. Others I am OK with. Of course in my case it is more a question of the nature of reality, rather than ethics. I just do not think there is a God. I do think there are ethics, though, and Christian ethics. But I want to pick what I like and discard what I do not like. It has to be mine, not the church's, and not God's. That is the only thing that will work with me. I must be comfortable with it, not troubled.
Well, it is almost 4 AM here, I need to sleep.
Thanks for being kind to me.

And I thought music was just music. Since when did it start deciding to have a religious affiliation
Noooooooooo......anyone can listen to it. 🤗 I was just asking if anyone does listen to Christian music. A few atheists have posted they even listen to certain artists. @Leggylawyer

@MissMollyCharlotte0702 In case you hadn't realised I was only teasing you😂. I'll leave you in peace and go and listen to some Taoist music🙂
Enjoy. 😋@Leggylawyer

Does NINs count?
ButterFly2023 · 22-25, M
NIN, singing a song about God. Trent does that a lot. The name of the band "Nine inch nails" kinda gives the underlying theme away.......
Hmmmm....Nine Inch Nails...I remember them....don’t remember them being Christian...haha@ButterFly2023
ButterFly2023 · 22-25, M
There is a "Christian" theme. ; )

“Christian music” is just a way of saying any style of music but where the topic is about Jesus, so yes I do, quite a bit. Now if you meant the “contemporary Christian” genre then emphatically no.
What is the difference? Contempary is music is more like a band whereas the traditional Christian music would be more hymnal music? Right? Which do you listen to?@Icantsoishant

@MissMollyCharlotte0702 I had a friend come in from Chicago stopped in so I could meet her husband today ,and it was my Grandson's 18th birthday , so I missed it ,its on your profile ?if so I will look at it tomorrow or actually today .
Its a blessing some music can uplift us ,
When I used to do concerts and go to see other Christian artists
Seeing all the kids looking for something better always made me weep sometimes for hours .
As I prayed they really wanted to meet Christ and it was not just emotions caused by the music ,
As a secular entertainer I know the importance of controlling the crowds with the music ,you want them involved and to feed off their energy ,
But you have to know when to calm them back down too .
I have seen so many Church services it was all about the music and the pastor said it was the Holy Spirit .
But when the Holy Spirit shows up ,lives change ,and drug addicts like me get healed .
And if Christ lives in us ,we bring Him with us to share Him ,we don't go to Church looking for Him ,
He enables me to walk and face life every day ,I am thankful I don't have to wait until the next Church service to feel Him with me ,I would never be able to get out of bed .
I am glad you had a blessed day ,our Father is good and gracious all the time .

No. I'm sorry. I just can't get into it. Just seems kind of silly. Maybe I've mocked it once or twice, i don't know 🙂
I used to mock the hymns we were forced to sing in church growing up. Borrring! But since becoming a Christian I catch myself singing those songs that I thought were so stupid. The music nowadays is so different.@WarmAtNight

I read all of your posts, dear Rick....so you keep being you.I was just pointing out that unbelievers need short sweet and to the point, but you are probably right he wasn’t going to read it anyway. His mind is already made up.
I do read your posts though. 👍@rckt148

It's too brain washy for my taste. I know a seven year old who likes it.
Hmmmm....those are hymns I think. I love the sound nowadays versus what Christian music was way back in the day. @ViciDraco
ViciDraco · 41-45, M
It was kids music. Definitely not hymns. I heard plenty of hymns growing up in Catholic school.
Noooooo.....this isn’t kids music. Haha....I do know what you are talking about though lol. this is far greater than that...lol @ViciDraco
