No, I never did, but I know the feeling. The closest I've come was listening on 5 speakers.

The times I felt as you do, were when I was seeing live theatre, Evita and Mama Mia were wonderful.

That's an interesting thought.
When I listen to a favourite song through hi-fi speakers instead of earphones, I tend to turn my head from side to side and tilt it left then right. That seems to alter the sound slightly and makes it even more interesting.
If I had more than 2 ears then that would be even more fun.
