How can I fix a problem with my Windows Media Player?

It no longer copies CDs because the "rip CD" feature has been disabled. I have checked and it is not only my own PC, I have tried it on another one. It's not the disc because I've tried more than one. It must be those Windows "updates" (downdates, more like) that have tampered with it. How can I fix it to go back to how it was?

@BatFasterly scroll to the left until you get to a search bar. Type Did restore and you can do a fresh new setup from these.
