What do you think of the 2008 re-release of "You Don't Know What It's Like" by Econoline Crush? Is it better than the original?

Both versions are phenomenal tracks, the original certainly holds a bit more angst, which I like, but the new version delves a bit deeper into perhaps and added sense of cynicism, for lack of better word. Always been a favorite of mine, this song.
