I'm not so sure about the bass line but it might be just me. Another tip would be to make the piano at the end tighter, unless the theme is confusion then it works. You gotta make the piano a bit more predictable if you jump so harshly between notes it seems a bit random and can confuse the listener. Just my humble opinion.
Congratulations and keep at it!

@kayoshin By “tight”, you’re talking about the timbre of the piano, right? With all due respect, I think it sounds fine as it is, as well as the notation. And the bass is good, too. Great equalization.

Honestly, it’s not really my type of music but I still appreciate the talent put forth, and I think the demographic would enjoy it.

@InvaderNice I would like to make something more rock/ indie, but all I have are trap kits and vst's, do you knowns some good plugins for that genre?
InvaderNice · 26-30, M
@QueenElsa I think you might know a bit more about mixing than me.

By tight i mean trying to keep it in an octave and not too many jumps without repetition or it feels like hitting notes at random. I didn't say anything about equalization or mastering just didn't feel the bassline matched the melody.

@kayoshin I don't know how to do that :P I've never known how to play any instruments either xD

@QueenElsa i can point you to some helping videos on music theory and introduction to producing that should be pretty easy to apply to any DAW, I'll link you when i get home these days.

@kayoshin Ok, that will help, I've only seen trap tutorials, so the bass lines are usually on C and maybe D, or F
QueenElsa · 22-25
@kayoshin I looked up a few tutorials thataren't trap/ rap for the bass line. I came up with this

Yea the bassline isn't wrong in itself i mean it sounds tight and you seem to have kept it in a key i just said i don't think it works because it doesn't follow or complement the melody it works alone but together they are so so. I'm gonna listen to the new version now :) Also don't get discouraged i may be talking about 2 negative things I hear but that just means everything else sounds good :)
