Neil Young seems to sing about men ALOT!

Old men... Southern men... Homeless men... Or just randomly says, "man"... It's hard to find a song where he doesn't sing about men. 馃樁

I can't say I've noticed that, but I'm sure none of his songs include such nonexistent words as "ALOT".

@NankerPhelge I just wrote it... So it exists.

@ConanTheLibrarian That still doesn't make it a valid word. Until it appears in the 1970 edition of the Pocket Oxford Dictionary (my old school dictionary) or the 1968 edition of the Newnes Family Reference Dictionary (which my dad bought in 1969 for home use), or preferably both, I will not be able to accept it as a valid word. To date, it has not appeared in either of the two aforementioned dictionaries.

@NankerPhelge And you matter because?
NankerPhelge61-69, M
@ConanTheLibrarian What? 馃

@NankerPhelge Everyone's a critic, and thus far I see that you believe you have a point, but then again, I don't see why your point matters.
ConanTheLibrarian36-40, M
@NankerPhelge At the end of the day, it's semantics, but thank you for enlightening me... I'm still not changing it.
NankerPhelge61-69, M
@ConanTheLibrarian It matters because I am right about it. Someone has to point it out otherwise nothing would be correct and precise, let alone everything.

@NankerPhelge Perhaps you should review the definition of change, or evolution.
NankerPhelge61-69, M
@ConanTheLibrarian Why do you even mention the dreaded C-word to me? Perhaps you should review the definition of holding on to the status quo.
ConanTheLibrarian36-40, M
@NankerPhelge The status quo which constantly evolves and changes?
ConanTheLibrarian36-40, M
@NankerPhelge Why add an extra space, when it's more efficient to simply spell it as one word?

NankerPhelge61-69, M
@ConanTheLibrarian Because the two words together do not form a word. It would not be accepted in a game of Scrabble any more than "catmouse" or rhinogiraffe", would it?
ConanTheLibrarian36-40, M
@NankerPhelge But a rhinogiraffe would definitely be cool and terrifying... I saw a movie called Deepthroat once... I thought it would be about a giraffe; I was extremely shocked and disappointed.
