(In memoriam Tribute) Will you add your (deceased musician’s) song to mine tonight? #021

Do you remember making mixed tapes? Starting this thread off with my song of the night of a musician whose life and death heavily influenced me. I was in High school during the grunge era and although I was heavily into Metal, I was also heavily influenced at the time by the Grunge band Nirvana and Kurt Cobain’s death happened just before I graduated high school. Please join me and add the YouTube video of your own song of a musician whose life and death influenced you and let's make music together. If you have the same musician as another just honor them with another song that you like. If you don't know how to make post video, no worries. Just post the song and artist and I will find and post your video if I am able. Any genre any era welcome (In memoriam Tribute) Here we go.

@Peaches Yes it is. I thought about posting it elsewhere too. 🙂
@SimplyTracie @Peaches @arthurca I’m a heavy Metal girl, so country isn’t exactly my genre but three artists my Dad loved to hear on the farm and bring back good memories are Johnny Cash, Clint Black, and Kenny Rogers. Their music has such a folk feel that they transcend genre boundaries and I’m sure explains my love of folk rock. He was a brilliant writer and artist and will definitely be missed by Dad and I, both. 🦋

@DarkHeaven Aw, you beat me to it. But I'll post one from Kenny too.

Those old country songs were so heartfelt, especially his.
@TeresaRudolph71 Facts. 🦋 My Dad is a big fan and I heard him a lot growing up. I’m a rocker personally but it totally explains my love of folk rock... his songs have a folk feel. 🖤
