(In memoriam Tribute) Will you add your (deceased musician’s) song to mine tonight? #021

Do you remember making mixed tapes? Starting this thread off with my song of the night of a musician whose life and death heavily influenced me. I was in High school during the grunge era and although I was heavily into Metal, I was also heavily influenced at the time by the Grunge band Nirvana and Kurt Cobain’s death happened just before I graduated high school. Please join me and add the YouTube video of your own song of a musician whose life and death influenced you and let's make music together. If you have the same musician as another just honor them with another song that you like. If you don't know how to make post video, no worries. Just post the song and artist and I will find and post your video if I am able. Any genre any era welcome (In memoriam Tribute) Here we go.

This one is kind of sappy. Still punches me in the gut every time I hear it...

@Rutterman Whoa, I just posted this on one of my questions. We had some weird music mindlink going on.

@SW-User Wow. Amazing. We not only posted the same song, but the same video as well.

Have you ever heard the Badfinger version? It was originally done by them. It's different, but really good too...

@SW-User Glad you like it. It's a shame more people aren't familiar with it as it is very good.
@Rutterman
One of the first albums I owned was his very strange and humorous release "Nielsen Son of Schmilson" This is his version of Rocketman/Space Oddity.

@SomeLikeItHot Oh, I like it. Thanks for posting it.
@Rutterman This actually made the "Top 40" back in 1972.
