Lesson Structure
Warm-up (3–5 minutes):
Reviewing previous pieces, playing technical exercises, or doing finger stretches and broken chords to get comfortable at the instrument.
Technique and Scales (5–10 minutes):
Practicing scales, arpeggios, or rhythm patterns related to current pieces to build finger dexterity and hand independence.
Repertoire Review (10–15 minutes):
Playing through assigned songs while the teacher checks posture, hand shape, timing, and dynamics.
New Concepts (10–15 minutes):
Introducing new sheet music, music theory, aural training, or small challenging sections of a new song.
Assignment Wrap-up (2–5 minutes):
Clarifying what to practice for the week and setting specific, small goals.
