Can’t go wrong with a Taylor acoustic
Arorin · M
@JesseInTX an anestetist i work with is best friends with the owner and founder of Taylor. Made his brand by proving he could make good sounding instruments out of anything.
JesseInTX · 51-55, M
@Arorin I love mine. Even better than my Martin
Arorin · M
@JesseInTX how much different is it between metal string guitars or the other?
JesseInTX · 51-55, M
@Arorin I own one nylon string acoustic and two steel. Different sounds for different styles. Cost wise it’s all about what if any electronics you want in them.
Arorin · M
@JesseInTX there are things you can put on the back of them to act as an amp which doesnt require me to go the electric acoustic route. What im more concerned with is the sound and playability. I never played nylon i dont know the learning curb to it.
JesseInTX · 51-55, M
@Arorin it takes a little adjustment but not anything that you won’t figure out pretty quickly if you’ve been playing for a while
Arorin · M
@JesseInTX im going over some basics but i been playing since i was 15
JesseInTX · 51-55, M
@Arorin that’s around the time I started. You should have any trouble at all with a nylon string
Arorin · M
@JesseInTX can you use a pick because thats what ive practiced with?
JesseInTX · 51-55, M
@Arorin absolutely you can. I do a lot of finger picking but also use a pick as well
Arorin · M
@JesseInTX i have one song i can finger pick really well and thats hanger 18 by megadeth but that is the only song ive worked on without a pick.
JesseInTX · 51-55, M
@Arorin I play mainly classic rock and country, folk and blues
Arorin · M
@JesseInTX metal is blues just with distortion
JesseInTX · 51-55, M
@Arorin I appreciate all kinds of music and musicians that make it. Those genres are just what I personally enjoy playing myself
Arorin · M
@JesseInTX yeah i was just pointing out metal follows the same scales and notes i like many forms of music i am just biased for the sadder sounds if you will.
