I like a lot of hard, classic and acid rock, but I'm more into new wave, alternative, and post punk oriented, and tend to like a keyboards, digitital sequesence sampling, and post rock guitar work.
A lot of ppl don't know it but all the instruments in Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA, including the guitars, were digital sequence sampling, that is digitalized instrumental sounds, played on keyboards v actual instruments. It's p ironic, being as how iconically 'guitar oriented' the album is.
Ppl talk about music being made w/o needing to play an instrument, although sequencing takes talent, too, to say nothining of the production and engineering talent it takes to make sampled instruments indistinguishable from the real thing.

Wow I'm very surprised to hear Bruce's Born in the USA was digital... they don't make music like they used to...
dystopianAntihero · 56-60, M
They don't do much of anything like the used to ;)

Notes from anyl instrument can move the soul, but give me an acoustic guitar over electric any day.
SunshineSwirl · 56-60, F
Oh don't get me wrong I love acoustic too...just different sounds. :)
Noble · 56-60, M

in the right hands, an electric guitar can soar, crash, glide and tremble it's way through a melody. It can even keep the rythym simutaniously. Electric guitar be a lady, and she is at times an angel, and other times a whore. No matter though, she is always a beautiful beautiful thing.....in the right hands.
SunshineSwirl · 56-60, F
That is beautiful!! :)

@SunshineSwirl: aw, thank you. Shall we say, I was inspired. Electric guitar has a way of doing that. It holds a special place in my heart.
