I just love a song with a good bassline. Being an amateur bass player, this really is no surprise to me. But I just love the rhythm is creates. Matt Wong of Reel Big Fish is a great bassist, I love his work. Some of the simplest basslines in songs are just the best, like the fake one in Seven Nation Army or Only in Dreams by Weezer. Those are slow and melodic, though I do enjoy ones that walk and just with fast beats.
