For any one who plays guitar and doesn't play another instrument ....

I highly recommend taking up learning the piano ....

I decided. to learn the piano during the pandemic ,, I was stuck inside more, and I think I was getting a bit stale at playing the guitar .....

Anyhow,,,,, I was so focussed on playing the piano I barely touched my guitar over the past couple of years , ,,, really only to. play with my other friends did I ever play guitar , and eventually also started playing piano as well ......

I just have to say ,,,, It's remarkable at how much better I am at playing my guitar. now, after not having spent a lick of time practicing ...... It's truly an amazing feeling , and almost like a serendipitous gift offered to me for my dedication to learning the piano , which I also really love playing ..... so now I got 2 instruments I completely adore and can rely on ...

I grew up with a pianola . We had like over 500 rolls . It seemed so superfluous to learn, but I wish I had now.
I learn flute. I loved it. I wish I hadn't given it up .

Wow ,,,, that is incredibly cool you owned and had the opportunity to learn on one of those .....

So, as I understand , the sheets would play the tune on the piano so you could then learn the fingering .....that;s fantastic ,, I am very envious ......

I play by ear..... and when I want to learn a tune, I have it stuck in my head, I may go to google to get the actual key signature , and then I play it ...... wrong of course, but in my head it sounds right ..... I will go back and listen to the original and eventually end up playing it mostly right, or just good enough for my liking .....
@BobbyMoeven I'm quite envious . I'm not musically inclined ....as much as I loved the flute, my arty thing isn't music . Well, at least that's what my brother said 😏

Don't listen to your brother ....... siblings are the worst at criticism ..lol.

It's never too late to pick up an instrument ,,,, It really is my perfect place for getting a bit lost , exploring and finding solace ... I really wish I had more time , private time to play ..... I also wish I could jam more with my friends, its such a great great feeling , connecting with someone musically
@BobbyMoeven I imagine it's a great high when you get to jam with someone 🤗
