If so what is/was it?

Drums. I also play basic guitar/piano/bass, enough to write songs, and I'm a decent backing vocalist.

@astrosandorbits I'm a classic rocker. I do play original music, but I play with Beatles and Bowie tributes(used to be in a Stones one too). I'll play singer/songwriter stuff, hard rock/metal, progressive, whatever I can handle.

@astrosandorbits As long as I can count it, I can play it. I'll be overdubbing drums in the studio on Saturday where a song is in 4/4, with bars of 3/4 and even 3/8 thrown in; it's going to be quite a ride. The studio has some vintage drums set up, so I'm eager to check them out.
