It's about general abuse in different forms. "Narcissistic abuse" is simply a coined term for emotional abuse. It takes the forms of gaslighting, put-downs, accusations and criticisms. "Narcissistic abuse" is used onlly in conjunction with those suffereing from NPD, or Narcissistic Personality Disorder, which affects about 1.06% of the poulation.

Abuse is abuse, regardless of the form it takes.

@2pacfan Yes, they do. Qualities and clinically debilitating conditions are different, though they share similarities.

Surprisingly (or not) a lot of abuse comes from a place of fear and self-loathing.
