Fist Fight is a pretty funny movie and kept me laughing.

The Sleep Room is a docudrama about experiments done on unwitting mental patients in a Canadian mental hospital back during the MKUltra mind control projects funded by the CIA. It is factually based, and I found it very moving. This one made me cry and I rarely cry over movies.

The Big Country One of the absolute best Westerns ever made. Best acting, best steller cast (Gregory Peck, Charleton Heston, Carol Baker, Jean Simmons, Burl Ives), brilliant direction by William Wyler. It's a long film but you won't be bored a moment of it. The theme: Staying true to yourself and not letting other people define you, especially, for a man, not letting others define how manly you are by their own skewed standards. A man from Baltimore comes west to Texas to marry a rancher's daughter and finds himself enmeshed in a range war situation over water rights and drowning in an ocean of macho masculinity and it's questionable traditions.

North by Northwest Hitchcock's masterpiece. A fun loving bachelor advertising executive (Cary Grant) is mistaken by foreign spies for one of their enemies in one of the US government agencies. Trouble multiplies as he tries to untangle the situation while falling for their spy master's girlfriend (Eva Marie Saint).

If you can get into movies that movie pretty slow, check out In Bruges, it's a really good movie.
Lawrence of Arabia, it's an old one, but it is a brilliant film

Oh, we could be at this all day. Might help if you narrow it down to the genre you are in the mood for...

(Hint: I'm a huge cinephile. Not only do I know the cast, but odds are, I might even know the crew...!)

Semi-Tough
A comedy that takes place in the world of professional football, but is actually a satire of the human potential movement of the 1970s.
