All you hear about is what Israel is doing in its war with Gaza. Things that make me go hm . . .

Why do things make you go hmmm? Just because people are concerned about what's happining in Gaza, does not mean they're not concerned about what's going on in other places in rhe world.
But then, it's not so much fun, right? Don't expect much support here.
@EarthlingWise Racialized neglect likely contributes: Black Congolese suffering is too often treated as distant or expected. Gaza’s closer ties to U.S. policy and established protest networks also matter, so race is part of the disparity, though not the only cause.

As to Gaza, some of the extraordinary focus on Israel may carry an antisemitic charge—especially when it turns into collective blame of Jews, conspiracy claims, or selectively severe moral scrutiny. The scale of attention alone can’t establish that: Gaza’s suffering and U.S. support for Israel also draw legitimate political attention. The useful question is how that attention is expressed. Intense attention can coexist with the neglect of Black Congolese suffering: one group can be made an object of fixation while another is rendered nearly invisible.
