Joking aside, my wife (Jewish) came to me the other day and asked if I had heard about the news from Israel. She was not talking about this (she hadn’t heard this news yet) but rather the attempted hijacking. Then she remarked that if not for enhanced Israeli security measures, we’d all be dead by now. At that point I just changed the subject.

@Northwest israel had nothing to do with thwarting this incident. So is Netanyahu claiming victory here, or is he saying “we failed, this is why you need me”?

We call that the “ghetto lottery “. Where you allow or even encourage something bad to happen to you so you can file a lawsuit , or declare war. Putting yourself in harms way on purpose would probably be a better definition.
