I'm guessing there's at least two camps of people who push conflated narratives, those with a direct stake in the toxic ideology (Zionism or Islamism) and much to gain or maintain in there eyes, and thus saying whatever they think they have to in order to manipulate public opinion, in service to their agenda ... and then an audience with no, not as much of, or a different type of stake in the agenda advancement, who perhaps for that secondhand status have less incentive to fully educate themselves on the agenda, relevant contextual histories and so forth, so just do whatever is easiest in order to feel like they are a part of something, even on a shallow level before their attention drifts to something else for the remainder of the day or year. So empty sloganeering and mindless parroting may serve as a cheap fix.

Much like a terrorist org might embed their apparatus within civilian infrastructure as a human shield to deter destruction of their apparatus, conflating critiques of their agenda / ideology as an attack on all members of a related group (e.g., a religion, demonination, ethnicity or nationality), this kind of conflation is a disingenuous, bad faith, shameless, Machiavellian, transparent attempt at a rhetorical shield. Sadly it works on some people, chiefly those without any criticla thinking skills, or with ADHD, or both.

So it really doesn't matter which current group of the day doing this is, it's always the same thing, from the beginning until the end of time. There will always be someoen there to call you a racist or whatever just because you're not facilitating their unrelated agenda.

People here don't understand much beyond identity politics. We think of human lives and circumstances like a sports game.
