I can't see an ending to the Iran war that doesn't either result in permanently high fuel prices, or the end of the USD as world reserve, or a massive

irreversible refuge crisis into Europe. Theres no clean ending here

I can some clean endings, though Trump has to be willing to walk claiming victory, while everyone else is seeing the truth that it's a loss....

That, or LOTS of Troops have to go on the ground....

@sstronaut I hope you are right
@Burnley123 Note: I'm saying it's physically possible... I'm not saying that Dumb@ss Donald is intelligent enough to take it...

I can't think of a war that had a clean ending. This one will be messy because it's not a straightforward fight between two foes. There are religious nuances, personalities and (as always) financial interests all caught up in a tangle. Oh, and nationalism.

@FreddieUK News is that Trump stepped back on attacking the energy network

@kwood1 Yep. TACO

The dollar will survive as the reserve currency, at least for now..But yeah

@Burnley123 Savings in USD are tied to perceiving the USD as stable. It's still part of the above! 😜

@Elessar Sure but it takes time to move off that, like I said

@Burnley123 From my understanding it's a matter of how much gets dumped; if one of the big funds dump their USD (bonds) the others may consider dumping their as well, before the value drops too much. You don't want to be the last to sell.

It's only slow if it goes from smaller funds to bigger ones but there's no guarantees it'll go that way. For instance, last time he threatened Greenland one of the bigger ones (in Sweden iirc) started selling

I can’t see this ending anytime soon, it might only get worse.
