The new Syrian government decreed that women my wear "burkinis" when swimming. A burkini is a thing that covers a woman from the top of the head to the toes, and does not allow the body shape to appear.

Men can only bear their chests while in the water.

When walking around at a beach, women must also wear "flowing" attire, to prevent an onlooker from seeing the shape of their bodies.
