Gaza war: Purging the Holy Land of infidels.

The Crusades were a series of military campaigns organised by Christian powers in order to retake Jerusalem and the Holy Land back from Muslim control. There would be eight officially sanctioned crusades between 1095 CE and 1270 CE and many more unofficial ones.

The Gaza war has the support of and essentially prosecuted by the west led by the US.

At this point in history, the Christian west is eminently powerful controlling two-thirds of world economy. Replete with US military dominance, the entire region - from Morrocco, in North Africa, to Pakistan, in West Asia - can be wrested from Islamic jurisdiction.

@sree251 Control of all the oil resources in the Middle East now is critical to deal with the threat of China as a potential superpower.

@sree251 The global oil trade has been predominantly conducted in U.S. dollars (USD), creating a symbiosis between America's currency and the world's most traded commodity. The petro-dollar has been a cornerstone of U.S. economic dominance for decades. However, recent geopolitical shifts and the rise of alternative payment systems being initiated by Russia and China have tried to challenge this long-standing model.

Religion is the cause of wars. God has nothing to do with human conflict, a disease caused by evil among men.

Not really. There is no evidence the crusades had anything much to do with pilgrims or religion.

You want evidence? Who is going to present it to you? You have to intuit it the way you read the moves of the sharpest player at a poker game.

If anything it was more an attempt to grab power by European kings and princes to curry favour with the Templar bankers.

Don't forget the Pope, who wielded power over all the kings and emperors in Europe (Christendom). And he wasn't doing it for the Kingdom of God.

The current Gazan genocide is just a long line of failed US interventions.

Failed interventions? I don't know what criteria you use to determine the success of every US foreign geopolitical intervention. The current Gaza war is right on track.
I don't think it should be classified as a Crusade, though. The Crusades were about the Catholic Church controlling Jerusalem. This is about Israel controlling the Middle East.
