If you live in Iran or anywhere else in the world , google earth will show it as the “Persian gulf “ But if you live in gulf countries , it will show it as “the Arabian gulf”
Literally two names for the same gulf.
To prove this, this is what it says when I open google maps in Saudi Arabia :
But if you open your google maps now I’m pretty sure it will say Persian gulf for you.
This is the most ridiculous beef in the Middle East 🤣 from my understanding is that the gulf countries insist on the name Arabian gulf because all of the nations that over view the gulf are Arab Including a lot of the part of Iran that overviews the gulf. They claim iran also uses the naming Persian gulf to claim oil sea fields that are in Kuwait boarders or uae boarders. Historically though it has been known by the name “the Persian gulf “
