It's difficult to change how we are wired - good for you that you see it. Block, ignore, accept mothing but what is best for you!
Degbeme · 70-79, M
Yeah it`s time to think of you.

No monsters on SW. Just us mice. And a few rats.
Sounds like you’re doing some great work on yourself and getting stronger and more confident every day. Just keep moving forward with healthy, positive decision making and life will hopefully be looking much brighter. 🙂
@OlderSometimesWiser thank you so much
GohantheThird · M
Always good to focus on yourself.
I very recently got out of something similar. It took years to get away be the chemistry was so strong. But that is due to them being a parasite and you having very valuable things to offer. It will never stop being a game to them. I had to block and go no contact.
It gets better 🖤 much much better

@EldritchFox agreed on no contact. Gives you time to heal from the trauma of the breakup and enables you to see the red flags you didn't see before.
@GohantheThird Absolutely. It's taken a few weeks but I'm breaking everything down now and realizing how he manipulated everything.
You just don't want to believe someone would be that awful, but yeah, they are.

@EldritchFox they're actually demonic, there's no other explanation

Sadly you are stuck at the moment, unless you can find some nice place to live and the children are a major concern
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F

@Justmeraeagain I absolutely will.
romell · 51-55, M
In short.. stockholm syndrome lol
@romell yes, it's appalling..
Mrnotsonew · 61-69, M
You have to do what is best for you. Don’t need to have another one in your life.
Sapio · 51-55, M
At least you recognize the pattern of behavior. Just focus on you and what you really want. Don't let red flags be your guide or you'll repeat history.
@Sapio I'm definitely going to do the work, I'm not going to do this again

Unintentionally?
@class when you have trauma you unintentionally attract people who have the same trauma and typically an empath like me attracts narcissistic people
