Heck I get upset when my glasses are not where I thought they should be. And I need them to read any text on TV. Don't need to read though.
They are always within a three foot diameter. Likely less.

@hartfire I once thought my car had been stolen!
I lived at the time in an old street with limited parking along it, and often had to park my car some distance away. I came out of the house to go to work one morning, looked down the road...
Not there
"Oh!" I thought, "must have parked up the road again".
Not there.
Errr...in a small car-park down the hill?
Not there.
By now I was really worried, and it was only as I trudged back up the steep hill that I spotted it. Where I'd parked it. It was hidden from the house side by a large van that had arrived later. I probably walked the best part of a mile searching for it.
